NES Projects

We share a great love for 8-bit retro consoles. Cyber-Jack is a project that represents the Nintendo Entertainment System and the classic games from that era that helped shape our aspirations as game developers.

In this series of videos we dive into classic games and how they were graphically made, as well as critique the art as well. Join us as we pick apart these classics from the perspective of professional game development.

This was our first in the series where we talk about the most popular classic NES game of all time: Super Mario Bros 3.

In the second part of our on-going series, we discuss another renowned classic by Capcom: MegaMan 2. Here we cover many of the techniques used to create some of the more tricky aspects of this game’s visuals and surprisingly find a piece of art that feels very out of place in the MegaMan series.
